How to Use Shinjuku Lockers

East vs West — Shinjuku has two distinct sides. The East Exit leads to Kabukicho and shopping; the West Exit to skyscrapers and Shinjuku Gyoen. Check which side you need before choosing a locker.

Inside vs Outside gates — Inside-gate lockers require a valid IC card or ticket to access. Outside-gate lockers (blue markers) are freely accessible without passing the fare gates.

Most lockers accept Suica, PASMO, credit cards, and QR payment (PayPay, etc.).

Lockers are available from first train to last train (approx. 05:00–01:00). Overnight storage incurs an additional daily fee.

If all lockers are full — very common on weekends — nearby partner storage via Bounce offers flexible same-day options with no size limit.
