It is the undisputed gateway to one of Korea's most concentrated leisure destinations: Lotte World Adventure (the world's largest indoor theme park), Lotte World Tower (Korea's tallest building and home to the Seoul Sky observation deck), Lotte World Mall, and Seokchon Lake.

The locker demand at Jamsil is driven by a distinctive mix of visitors. Families visiting Lotte World need to store strollers, large bags, and luggage before entering the theme park — navigating the rides and indoor spaces with large items is simply not viable. Meanwhile, K-pop fans travelling from other cities or countries often arrive with suitcases and leave them at Jamsil while attending concerts at nearby Jamsil Sports Complex or KSPO Dome (Olympic Park, one stop via Line 8).

Hotel guests at Signiel Seoul or Lotte Hotel World — both directly connected to the station — frequently use station lockers during the gap between check-out (noon) and their departure.
