How it works

An AI Forecast Built on Real Locker Data

LuggageSnap records how many small, medium and large coin lockers are free at 263 stations in Seoul, around the clock. That history — 2.0 million readings so far — trains a machine learning model that learns each station's rhythm: which hours fill first, how weekends and public holidays change the pattern, and how large lockers behave differently from small ones.

The model then predicts every hour for the next 90 days. We check every forecast against what actually happened. Over the last 8 days, forecasts made one day ahead were off by about 7.8 percentage points on average. Forecasts can be less reliable on unusual days, such as big concerts or events.

Coin lockers cannot be reserved, so the forecast is a planning tool: pick a quieter time, try a nearby station, or send your bags ahead when it looks busy.
